A Superbowl Party

A big congratulations to Green Bay, winners of Superbowl XLV!  Although I’m not a huge sports fan, I still get emotional at the end of the game when the big winner is announced and I see the joy and pride on the faces of the players and fans.  Then I feel so bad for the losing team!

We hosted a small gathering at our house, for our friends and their little ones.  We had about 15 adults and a small playground living room full of kids, most of which were around age 2.    Needless to say, we enjoyed

The menu consisted of typical game day fare: a variety of chips, dips, spinach and artichoke dip, and chili cheese hot dogs.  The table cloth is a discount fabric cut to fit the table.

No Texas football party is complete without 7-layer dip (refried beans, avocado, sour cream, green onion, olives, tomatoes, cheese) {thanks Stace!}

Being busy with James and the party, I missed most of the commercials.  Many of the adults with children left about halftime, so I got to see the awesome performance by the Black Eyed Peas and Usher.  Did you like it?
